Our Story

Operating for over 25 years and painting for more than 30 years, Alan Trow has built up a successful and highly respected painting and decorating business. Originally from Pukekohe, Alpine Decorating moved to Marlborough in 2021 and now services both the Marlborough and Canterbury regions.

We are registered with the trusted Master Painters Association, a certification which confirms the highest standard and reliability of their work and business practices.

We pride ourselves on quality and attention to detail. The team is able to handle all aspects of painting and decorating whether its interior or exterior, residential or commercial. Alpine Decorating Limited are trusted experts in painting and decorating.

Alan takes immense pride in the painting projects he has undertaken for KPH Transport and NZ Hothouse. Over the years, he has completed numerous projects for these esteemed clients, but the work on the KPH Transport admin building and NZ Hothouse head office stands out as a highlight. These projects, which involved meticulous attention to detail and high-quality finishes, reflect his commitment to excellence and his ability to tackle complex and high-profile assignments. The lasting relationships and continued trust from KPH Transport and NZ Hothouse underscore the quality and reliability of Alan's work, marking these projects as some of his most cherished achievements.

Training and passing on hard-earned skills that have been acquired over the years is important to Alan. He has trained one of the Top 4 apprentice in the country who went on to win Taupo North Master Painters Apprentice of the Year, following this she also won Tradeswomen of the year through the National Association of Women in Construction.

Alan’s son, Lachlan is a fully qualified tradesman and is producing some amazing work to a very high calibre.

In addition to his career, Alan volunteered as a firefighter for over 25 years and now serves as a first responder with St John.
